About the Class
Join us for an exciting introduction to the violin! With over 25 years of teaching experience, Lisa Appleton is licensed Music K–12 through the Colorado State Board of Education and holds a degree in Music Education from the University of Denver. Emphasizing the fun in playing an instrument, each class is tailored for student success by combining traditional note reading and Suzuki methods. Scale study, sight-reading, and modeling techniques for home practice build student confidence.

The Perfect Gateway to Orchestra
Lisa’s beginning violin class is designed to complement LCMA’s Summer Orchestra Program. Students who start here will build the foundational skills — posture, tone, and bow technique — that set them up for success when they’re ready to join the Intermediate or Advanced Orchestra.

Meet Your Instructor
Lisa Appleton
With over 25 years of violin teaching experience, Lisa Appleton is a Licensed Music educator (K–12) through the Colorado State Board of Education and holds a degree in Music Education from the University of Denver.
Lisa’s classes are designed to make learning the violin fun and achievable. She combines traditional note reading with Suzuki methods — giving students both literacy and a strong musical ear from day one. Each class includes scale study, sight-reading, and practical techniques students can use to practice confidently at home.
Lisa’s mission is simple: build community, develop social-emotional skills, and make the world a more beautiful place — one bow stroke at a time.
